Neal Callaghan and Pat Gormley have both delivered research presentations at the 6th Annual Atlantic Regional Comparative Physiology Workshop this past weekend, October 18th-20th, held at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre in beautiful St. Andrews, New Brunswick.
On Saturday, Pat delivered an oral presentation entitled “In vitro effect of cerium oxide and zinc oxide nanoparticles on Sprague-Dawley rat blood plasma.” He was followed by Neal, who, on Sunday, delivered an oral presentation entitled “Oxidative stress and metabolic regulation in zinc oxide nanoparticle-exposed white suckers.”
The workshop was attended by faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students from Mount Allison University, the Fredericton and Saint John campuses of the University of New Brunswick, and Université de Moncton. The keynote speaker, Dr. Colin Brauner, is a Professor of Zoology at the University of British Columbia.
Well done, gentlemen!
