Neal and Pat have both recently presented their summer research at the Mount Allison University Summer Undergraduate Research Fair (SURF), which was held on September 20th, 2013. SURF is an annual student-run event that gives Mount Allison students in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and the humanities, the chance to share and present their research to a general audience. Presenters can choose either an oral or a poster presentation, and are judged by a panel made up of Mount Allison faculty and notable members of the Sackville community.
Neal delivered a poster presentation entitled “Markers of oxidative stress in livers of zinc oxide nanoparticle-treated white sucker fish.” Pat gave an oral presentation in the format of the Three-Minute Thesis, entitled “In vitro effect of cerium oxide and zinc oxide nanoparticles on Sprague-Dawley rat blood plasma.”
Well done gentlemen!
